Jakob ben Luria

Welcome

Jakob ben Luria was born on November 12, 1920, in Schoten, the Netherlands. His studies in religion and physics were interrupted by World War II. During the war, he was detained in a Nazi institution for human experiments.
He held several positions, but after a long illness from 1969 to 1972, he decided to fully devote himself to the study of the Torah. Exactly four hundred years after his forefather Yitzak (Ha Ari) Luria passed away, he began researching the Torah in a scientific manner. He asked profound questions about every letter and word in the Torah, using the numerical values of Hebrew to unlock the most divine secrets of the Torah.
His knowledge and understanding of the Torah was well-known and unparalleled. Jakob ben Luria continued to develop and refine his work until his passing. His work and studies are now accessible to the public.
